Summary Statement: The incumbent for this position will oversee the development and implementation
of a new Diagnostic Medical Sonography program including development of the courses, assessments,
lab activities, student learning outcomes assessment, and related manuals/guidelines that meet the Joint
Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography standards.
The incumbent will establish and maintain the educational lab facility and clinical sites, including
regular clinical site visits. The incumbent will teach courses, preparing students
with the qualifications, knowledge and skills to meet sonography needs within our
community. Recognized national certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
Certification in Echocardiology and Vascular Technology and knowledge of and experience
with instructional program development and student learning outcome assessments
is preferred (Selective Requirement).
The incumbent may serve as a Program Coordinator, upon appointment by the Campus Director.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelorís degree in a relevant field. Four years of relevant clinical experience
as a credentialed general sonographer. Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with a diverse
population in a multicultural environment. A completed Delaware Tech Employment
